Ever since I heard David Cook's version of "Always Be My Baby", I've been hooked to it.. listening to it over and over again together in my "Current Fav" playlist.

After while, I thought, "Hey! It's about time I heard the original again".

So I searched it on YouTube, and wow.. it was strange! After being so used to hearing it David Cook style, hearing a woman sing it was so weird! =P

He couldnt believe his audience was so backward in their understanding of the origins and development of the bowl. They were mere consumers who blindly used it without knowing it's full potential, or sales people who just sold bowls for profits without truly to understanding the product.


And so begins his lecture on the Origins and Development of Bowls.

KL girl in Kuantan

Immediately after my trip to Redang with my Uni CF friends, I spent the rest of the week in Kuantan. I stayed with Phoebe and Tiffanie who were my YLDP 2003, 2004, 2005 & 2007 and Jeremiah School and Youth Quake 2006 friends.

Here's a group pic outside Phoebe's house (Tiff is behind the camera). These are the people who made my stay in Kuantan enjoyable =) From left: Phoebe, Gary, me, Joshua, Sanjev.


Gary is my uni friend from Kuantan who is also Phoebe and Tiffanie's school friend. Joshua is Gary, Phoebe and Tiffanie's school friend whom I met when Phoebe visited KL. Sanjev is their school friend who I met there.

Most of my time in Kuantan was spent eating...

My super cool Pan Mee! THREE colours weh! N it's not fake colouring! Hehe.. I almost expected my food to taste like sweets when I took my first bite =P It reminds me of those long green or pink/red sour strips I use to eat when I was younger.


A lot of time was spent on the beach too

Not many pics were taken during our beach trips. Either too dark or too lazy.

(Blond) Note: Eventhough it's "just" Kuantan, and you can wear your pajamas to the malls, it is not advisable to wear your short shorts and light sleeveless top to the cinema. They have strong air conditioning too.

In Phoebe's house, we watched "Juno"...


...and this movie musical "Rent". Hmm.. Interesting movie =P


After church, Tiffanie started little 3 yr old Phoebe on a new hobby. And her fav model was jie jie Phoebe. Here's her work. Not bad for a 3 yr old huh...

Last night, my junior in MCKL randomly started chatting with me.

He commented on my personal message (it's lyrics from a song):
"Pitiful creature of darkness, what kind of life have you known?"

And so, the conversation went:

Audrey:
I like that sentence
Him:
So dark... so not you
Audrey:
Not me? O.o
Him:
Haha.. yeah
Audrey:
Oh, ya.. U knew me from MCKL days..
Him:
Mmhmm.. it's not you!
Audrey:
u know me as the sunshiny girl huh..
Him:
mhmm..
Audrey:
I got a dark emo side to me
Him:
Ooh.. never knew.
Audrey:
It just didnt appear in my MCKL days..

He really got me thinking...

Was I really all THAT oh-so-happy-n-smily back in my MCKL days that he can barely believe I'm actually kinda emo?
If yes, what happened to me?
How could I have changed so much within a year?

Disappointed?

Very often we get disappointed.

When it's our fault, we have no one but ourselves to blame.

But very often, it is caused by circumstances beyond our control.

What do we do?

At moments like this, we count our blessings and smile =)

"Positive thinking is looking up to the sky and have a bird shit in your eye. Then thanking God that cows don't fly."

I thought...

And then I realised, I am.

But it turns out not to be so fun after all.
