JS: Malacca trip

During JS, we went to different churches around the country every weekend. The most enjoyable one was the Malacca trip. Our first trip out Seremban.

The food was THE number one thing we sapu-ed like crazy. We ate like we've been deprived of good food for weeks! Hmm.. come to think of it.. we kinda were... Ah! But who cares? It gave us a huge appetite for the tasty malacca food!

It all started out with a meal out in some kampung roadside makan place where we got to eat curry laksa and some pretty good mee siam.

After the meal, we were free for the day. Since we were such a big group we couldnt go sightseeing or do any particular activity as a group around malacca. Transportation problem. So most of the ppl went to some shopping mall nearby n spent the whole day there.

But i was lucky! My dear roomie had arranged for Janice, an ex-JS girl from Malacca to bring us around. We sure were lucky.

First up, where did we go? What did we do?

Go in search for food la!

Yumm.. Looks good doesnt it? Cendol biasa n durian cendol..

Mmm.. watch us eat lah!

My dear roomie, Gerviene.. Just look at her pretty puppy eyes..

Now, on to the shops in Jongker Street!

Malacca delicacies! Lizards, rats, cockroaches and centipedes!

All for one, one for all!

Did lots of posing. Dont Johanan and his friend look similar?

Alvin and Johanan saving Janice from the hands of Kayu man...

While Gerviene and I save Phoebe from the other Kayu man

Dumping ourselves on that old flimsy overdecorated trishaw. The trishawman was really nice tho. He let us pose there for free n he took the pic for us. And he can speak like a bunch of chinese dialects and english really fluently!

Posing with the snake! Janice belanja!

The snake and I. It's really heavy!

Alvin and the snake. He looks really cool doesnt he? Do not be deceived! He was screaming and shaking before and after he held the snake.

OK, now Janice was really and obviously scared of the snake here

Hanging out in the cemetary. and Trapped!

Posing in the that Kubu place

Gerviene, Phoebe and Johanan with the Guitar and Harmonica playing man

Bombs away!!!

We all over the kereta kerbau display! It sure was hard to climb up that 'kerbau'. Alvin sucking his thumb, and Gerviene picking the 'kerbau's nose.

Makan again! Our pisang goreng all sapu aedi. This is our coconut shakes! Only RM1.20 a cup! and got extra (the one phobe's pointing at) free of charge!

Next, Janice brought us to the jetty near the portugese settlement. On the way, we passed by Yi Zheng and Chit Shen. We stopped the car by them and stuffed them into the car we were in.

Yeah.. This IS the car. Janice and Chit Shen in front. Yi Zheng, Alvin, Gerviene, Phoebe, Johanan and I were stuffed at the back. Imagine that! 6 of us at the back and we're not even little people! In fact, 4 of us at the back were pretty big. Yi Zheng's 6"1!

Haha.. on the way to our destination, we amused everyone we drove by. One driver even took our picture when we stopped at a traffic light. We all smiled for him, but later realised he might actually be taking the pic to send to the police! So we took a pic of him on the phone so we can send it to the police if he send the pic he took of us in.

Cramming in was worth it. It was enjoyable in a fun and peaceful way.

And we got a really nice view from the jetty. This is one of my fav pics. Yi Zheng against the sunset.

All in all, this day is the day that is among the top of my 'Fav day in JS' list.

No.1: Thanks to Janice for bringing us around! She was late for worship practice because of us, and I think we might've damaged her car's suspension. 8 of us in the car!

No.2: Thanks to ourselves! Each and everyone of us made the day so enjoyable!

No.3: Never forget.. Thanks to God for providing for us in every way, giving us great weather, and not getting us caught by the police for car overloading.
