New dog: Patch

This is my new dog, Patch. You can see why it's named that. My parents got him from SPCA on the 16th of Feb. He's a labrador mix.

Totally cute! Even sticking out its tongue! It's hiding under a bunch after running away with the washing sponge.

A nice shot of it in the position my mom likes best. You see the patch on its head is fading already. This pic was taken 18 days after it was adopted.

Patch's little 'house' (which he has long ago chewed up)

Patch and his new toy that's bigger than him.

He's gonna pounce on it!!! (Too bad it didnt burst)

Tickles!

RUNNN!!! (Patch escaping with my slipper/sandal)

Uh oh.. How do I cross this river of stones? Cornered!

Mine! All mine!!! (Patch with my brother's slipper. Its' barely bigger than the slipper!)

Stuck on a bench

Finding a way down

Ghost dog!!!

Possibly stolen econs book

OK, I am already DAMN pissed! N m holding back a LOT of descriptive n not necessarily pleasant language.

SOMEONE STOLE/(ACCIDENTALLY)TOOK MY ORIGINAL JOHN SLOMAN ECONS BOOK!!!

What the hell weh! And till now i still havent heard anything bout it!

I went to college last wednesday (4 July) to sell off my books and past year papers. I left my stuff on the shelf outside the library at 10.30, then returned to college later at 4.30. I had
a glance of my stuff b4 i went finding for Phoebe at L2.2. I THINK my econs book was still there. When i went back to the library, it was GONE!

The WHOLE time i was in MCKL, everyone leaves books there without anything getting stolen, so dont say i was careless. After this incident, m i wrong to say there are THIEVES IN MCKL?!

Perhaps there was a mistake. I saw there was another identical book (but in worse condition than mine) on the shelves too looking quite abandoned. Possibly, someone accidentally took mine instead of his/her own. Mayb he/she purposely switched it (if so, it's theft! I took law).

My book is blue in colour, thick (like all econs books), ORIGINAL, wrapped, and has a price tag at the back saying Kinokuniya, RM 90.95. It is in VERY good condition. Looks almost brand new! My name might not be in the book. I might've wrote it in pencil last time, but rubbed it off since i was gonna sell it.

Pls, I want my book back. I discovered i might need it for my degree after all. I dont care if u intentionally or unintentionally took my book. Just give it back to me.

Pls contact me via friendster or e-mail (audreykmy@gmail.com) or msn (ming_sdn_bhd@hotmail.com) or phone if u manage to get it from someone (dont wanna post it up here). Anyone else who sees it, pls tell me.

Colourful bruise

A bruise I got earlier this year. Cant quite remember from where. A table in college I think.

The ruler's to show how big it is.

See? So colourful! =P

Redang

Finally! The beachside trip that we've been talking about for the past year materialised! 15 of we MCKL friends did it! A day after the last paper of the science student, we were off to Pulau Redang! (I finished a week earlier =P)

The group consisted of 5 girls and 10 guys. The girls being Ning, Sara, Christine, Kuga and me, and the guys being Hsing, Pang Tsen, Kishan, Mogan, Vince, Vincent, Shannon, Choong Zeen, Han Ming and Ken.

We left on the night bus (Transnational). We thought that way, we wont waste our first day traveling and we can sleep in the bus too! Hah! So much for sleeping in the bus. I am one who can sleep anytime, anywhere, with any noise level. But somehow, i found it really difficult sleeping in the bus.

We arrived in Kuala Terengganu around 5am. The streets were still dark, and roads were empty. And so we managed to take this pic! All of us lying in the middle of a road. Good thing we didnt lie on the other side of the road that we first planned to. A bus came by shortly after we changed our minds.

Here's a pic of Chrisitine, me and Pang Tsen around 5.30am waiting for the ferry which will be arriving at 8.30am. Between that time, the girls got to go to Pang Tsen's aunt's apartment to wash up, then all of us went for breakfast at a hawker centre.

This is the quaint little place we stayed at. Mozana Resort. We were the only guests there on the first day and we got the rooms that faces the sea. It's like a long house right ON the beach! The food there is great! But I dun recommend anyone else to stay there anyway unless the person wants solitude and dont plan on jumping around in the water much. There's tons of stones in the water! The only good thing bout it is there's little fishies all over the place, even in the shallow waters.

Me chilling on one of the table/bench/dunno wat it's supposed to be. The broom's to sweep away the sand and kill insects that disturb my peace.

Me, Ning and Sara. Ah! You can see the sunburn! See my arms and upper chest? RED!

Ning and I. Dunno wat happen to Ning. Haha!

Group picure on Pasir Panjang without Pang Tsen (he was taking the pic)

Group picture on Pasir Panjang with Pang Tsen but without Vince. Dunno where he disappeared to.

Haha! Vince making a stupid face for the camera! He's too good at it! =P

A scenic pic on the beach front of Mozana Resort at midnight. The moonlight was really bright! I think the guy's Pang Tsen.

The sky above Mozana. Beautiful shades of blue.

Squirrels dating! NOT birds!

That's the moon! FULL moon!

This is Pasir Panjang. NOT where Mozana is located. It's quite a far walk from Mozana. We gotta walk across one long stretch of beach, through a jungle, across another long stretch of beach, pass the Lagune resort tong sampah place, across the wide compound of Laguna resort, then finally, PASIR PANJANG! But the long walk is worth it. The beach is WIDE! and LONG! and the sand! Wahh!!! So soft and nice. Like walking on flour. The waters so clear and blue. Barely any stones in the water. The waves were great! But no fish.

This is a pic of the back of the ferry returning back to mainland.

An awful pic of me with a weird hairdo. It's the STRONG wind.

Ken. This fella can sleep ANYWHERE! ANYTIME! Forever sleeping.

I think the first guy's Vince. Then Vincent and Choong Zeen on the upper and open deck of the ferry.

Pang Tsen on the upper deck of the ferry but not outside. Sitting on a table-like thing there guarding the sleepyheads below.

Vince, me and Christine. On the same 'table' as Pang Tsen. He was next to Vince. Thanks for jaga-ing us Pang Tsen!

Another group picture at the seafood restaurant in Kuala Terengganu. Had dinner there before we boarded our night bus returning to KL.

Thanks to Terengganu boy Pang Tsen and family for their hospitality!

OB Nite

MCKL is small. So when we have any event, EVERYONE's gotta be in it or it'll just be too small. So the MCKL Orientation Ball aka OB Nite is a formal event to welcome the freshies and prom night for the seniors. Fine with us since everyone knows everyone in MCKL.

I finally managed to get some pics from that night.

This is a dance by a bunch of normally VERY quiet talk-only-a-few-words-when-spoken-to guys. The leader of the group being the quietest of all. Shocking.

We got awards for the best dressed guy and girl. 5 guys and 5 girls are picked by selected lecturers on the night itself and brought up on stage. There they get scrutinised. As though that wasnt enough, someone went, "Hey! They're up there for best dressed! Isnt it natural that we make them do some modeling for us?". And so, the 5 guys and 5 girls had to do some modeling. The lecturers then voted for the winner.

That's the guy that got best dressed. He got a scarf of black feathers.

That's me. Best dressed girl. (Dont ask how. I dont know. I was so totally clowning around when I did my 'modeling'.) I got some ridiculous white feather scarf and little girl feathery 'crown'. My dear Sara and Jo who were the ones in charge of getting the prizes thought it'd be funny to get something funny for the best dressed winners.

We got King and Queen for every intake. Freshie King n Queen, July intake King and Queen, and Prom/OB Nite King and Queen (Seniors). These are voted for 2 days before OB Nite and the votes are counted privately by Nigel, a committee member, and announced on the night itself.

This is our Freshie King and Queen, Justin and Phoebe. Lookie JS and YLDP ppl! There's our Phoebe!

The July intake King and Queen, Jega and Aaida.

Oh! And there's me again. Pang Tsen and I as Prom King and Queen. (Dont ask me how. I dont know.)

A picture of the Kings and Queens. Ah, the tiaras the queens got were damn nice!

The Kings and Queens getting the first dance. Or perhaps you might call it a "shuffle around to avoid stepping on the other's toes while trying to look like we're dancing".

I've got more pics. But a load of them are really bad and dark due to the terrible lighting. These here are those that turned out ok and wouldnt bore u all to death (eg. cam whoring pics).

Ah, OB Nite was a blast. The best so far according to the lecturers =) Winning two awards made me feel like such a greedy pig. But still, it was flattering since it's the first time it happened in MCKL history =P Thanks to all who voted for me! Undeserving as i am.

Burnt. Red.

Most ppl who get stay under the sun for long get dark brown. I get a shade of reddish brown.

When I get sunburnt. I get RED!!! (I'd show pics but i dont really want pics of me so skimpily dressed on my blog. Too open to strangers.)

I just returned from Redang with 14 other MCKL friends at 4.15 this morning and I'm still RED!!! Freshly red and still radiating out heat like a microwave despite having first gotten burnt 2-3 days ago.

The colour is fine with me. Im not one of those chinese girls who want to look like snow white. Neither do I purposely go burning myself under the sun to look tanned or watever like those whites. I'll just do whatever I like n if it gets me dark, fine with me.

The heat is fine. Quite interesting actually. I would've taken my baby termometer to measure the temperature of the sunburnt skin if i could find it.

What really sucks is the PAIN!! ARGH!!! Never in my life have i ever been THIS burnt! Never have i experience this much pain from sunburn! Take note: Im no newbie to sunburn. The slightest touch on my shoulders hurt! Even wearing my normal light and loose fitting spaghetti strap top hurts! Sitting back on a chair, lying on my bed, leaning against the wall... ARGH! Torture! Somehow, even pushing my arms and shoulders backwards hurt too!

Ah! The peeling of my skin will be interesting. I'll take pics if it peels amazingly/nicely/grossly.. watever u'd describe it.

Anyway, the fun I had in Redang with my college friends made every bit of the sunburn, suffering and all, was worth it. I'll blog about it later on.
