My true colour

I just took this online test to find out my true colour.

Audrey, your true color is Black!

Your color is black. The color of night. Serene and mysterious, black conjures up images of elegant evening gowns, dashing tuxedos, and gleaming limousines. Traditionally a symbol of success, black also represents power and an uncompromising demand for perfection. Not surprisingly, you tend to set challenging goals for yourself and do whatever it takes to achieve them — your strength of character is second to none. This unfaltering determination, along with your natural elegance, impresses people. But keep in mind that your personality might be intimidating to some. Try to temper your demanding side with a little softness — trust us, it won't kill you. Overall, though, black is the color of professionalism and achievement, which means it's clearly the color for you.

I find the results pretty amazing. Half true. I wish it were a brighter colour though, with a happier and more cheerful meaning. I kinda disagree with the 'do whatever it takes to achieve my goals'. Looking back in my life, it seems very much untrue. But, oh well, I can hope that characteristic is actually somewhere in me and will surface soon.

My hero, my superman

When i think of him, i dont know what to think.

There he is, the man who loves me more than anyone else in the world have.
The man who's always been there for me.
The one who held me when i was scared.
The one who made me feel so safe and secure.
The one who gave me the best he could.
The one who puts me before himself.
The one who always wished for my happiness.
The one who provided for me.
The one who sacrificed so much for me.
The one who always made time for me.

A man with admirable leadership qualities, great brains, great wisdom, good sensibilty, great qualities, a generous heart.

A humble man. A godly man. A man who loves and is loved in return.

I use to look at him and see him as my hero. My superman. Invincible.

But now i know, he's not invincible. He's just human like you and me.

But that doesnt damage how i look at him. Instead, because of that, i respect and love him more. For eventhough he faces obstacles like every other person, he still did what he did for me. But after awhile, it's not about what he did and does for me.. but it is that he tried and tries..

I've never respected or respected anyone as much as i love and respect him.

He is my hero. My superman.

My father.

Quoting JS friends

If I were to recall anything anyone in JS said in a flash, these would be the outcome:

Gerviene: You're so plastic!

Wing Hoe: Remember? We are S-es

Erreekka: 'Wake up O sleeper! For the day of the Lord is coming nearer. Prepare ye the way of the Lord! Amen! Halelujah! Wake up.. wake up.. or one day you will wake up and see only our baju left... As Mangkuk United we must wake up early! EARLY in the morning! NEGARAKU! Tanah tumpahnya-... Amazing Grace.. how sweet the...-'

Phoebe: I thought, 'Aiyo, my roommate is this 'Sorry' girl whose name is E.R.R.E.E.K.K.A.'

Chit Shen: *no words, just nod head*

Alvin: My back itchy. Scratch?

Eric: Why must happen to me? Why don't happen to other people?
Eric: Aiyo! I lost my first kiss to a guy!

Andrea: Audrrrreeeeey... (Wheehehehehe)

Yi Zheng: And when did i find out? Not two years ago, not last year, not last month, not last week but 3 days ago!

Lawrence: Plastic smile?

Johanan: So how are you?

Amos: Eyerr.. your fingers so geli when u tickle

Edwin: Watermelon again
Edwin: Justin

Ian: Audrey Kwong Ming Yee... *goofy laugh*

JS: A passing dream

It's May already, believe it or not. It doesnt feel like May. It doesnt feel like I've lived in this year long enough for it to reach May already! Where did the pervious 4 months go? Yeah, I know college has started, and life's been really bz, full of travelling to college, being in college for long hours, accounting homework, reading law and econs; and as always, when u're bz, time just flies. But i started college in March. What happened to January and February? TWO MONTHS! Where did that go?

Oh. Right. JS. That's where i was.

And so I try to remember JS. Imagine it. Visualise it. Put myself back in those days. They seem so recent yet so far. Like a dream. A passing dream. A different world in itself.

I put myself back in JS life. STM. The single room i shared with Gerviene then the double room. The 2nd Floor Girls Club. Sleeping in a sleeping bag every night, my endless alarms in the morning that end up waking gerviene instead, Gerviene waking me up finally, being in classes, being surrounded by friends, the feel of being in the classroom, seeing my dear friends everyday, meal times, remember the taste of the food, hearing 'mangkuk' every now and then, weekend trips away from STM, staying in different churches, the week in Kuantan, being surrounded by peers 24/7.

Yeah, i can remember it all pretty well. But yet, it seems so far away. So unreal. It may have been 6 weeks long stretched over 2 months, but yet, it just seem to have passed as quickly as a dream. Sometimes i wonder if i really was there.

Clinging onto JS memories is like clinging on to a dream. It's there yet not there. Real yet unreal. Too good to be true. When i think, 'I went to Jeremiah School', I'm like, 'When?' and then i recall, yeah, it was earlier this year, then i go, 'Wow... i was actually there..' and i stop awhile to take it all in.

But life goes on. JS was like a little stint in my life that taught me a great deal of worthwhile things. But it's not something to cling to. Not something we should dream and hope to relive cos no matter how hard we try, we can never go back to those JS days. It's the sad sad brutally cold truth. We can just reminise over those days, maintain our friendships, and take hold of the lessons we learnt and bring it out in our daily lives.

Psalms 143

1. Psalm 143 A psalm of David.
1. O LORD, hear my prayer, listen to my cry for mercy; in your faithfulness and righteousness come to my relief.
2. Do not bring your servant into judgment, for no one living is righteous before you.
3. The enemy pursues me, he crushes me to the ground; he makes me dwell in darkness like those long dead.
4. So my spirit grows faint within me; my heart within me is dismayed.
5. I remember the days of long ago; I meditate on all your works and consider what your hands have done.
6. I spread out my hands to you; my soul thirsts for you like a parched land.
7. Answer me quickly, O LORD; my spirit fails. Do not hide your face from me or I will be like those who go down to the pit.
8. Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I lift up my soul.
9. Rescue me from my enemies, O LORD, for I hide myself in you.
10. Teach me to do your will, for you are my God; may your good Spirit lead me on level ground. 11. For your name's sake, O LORD, preserve my life; in your righteousness, bring me out of trouble.
12. In your unfailing love, silence my enemies; destroy all my foes, for I am your servant.

Tired of it all

From a blessed land I came
A blessed life is all I know
I found something was missing
I was not satisfied

In search of it I went
I fall away into the deserts
And I search again
Everywhere

I walk in the deserts. Searching.
Where is it? What is it?

I get tired of searching
Sometimes I walk on blankly
Then I search again

I could've missed it when I was blank
Maybe I should go back
Search where I missed
But I'm tired

I go back to the blessed land
The desert within me
The mask of the blessed covers me

I'm tired
Tired of searching

Tired of it all

Zebras

Zebras are actually really beautiful creatures. I like seeing it's black and white striped body. I find it pretty much mesmerising. And they really know how to pose for pictures! They move slowly then stop for every1 to take pictures, then after awhile, move to a differenet pose and pause awhile again.

Like this first one over here. So loving it seems. Lovers.

Then here's a few others.

And now, did u know that even the zebra's butt looks nice? It's a work of art! Check it out! (Turn ur head, i cant seem to upright it)

Simply beautiful!

See Js eveywhere? #3

As I was walking around, a funny vision caught my eye right out of blue. It was this stray monkey sitting on a rock just naturally posing right there like a human being.

I wonder who it remind u of?

See JS everywhere? #2

And who could this be? If not for Sarah Chew and Andrea.

The 2 most impossible people to wake up in the morning despite Erreekka and Gerviene's best efforts. It takes a total of 30 minutes worth of early morning false prophesying, kicks and butt whacking from gerviene and threats to pile on them to get them to wake up.

Ahh.. such fond memories.

See JS everywhere?

When I went to the National Singapore Zoo on the 17th of March, I couldnt help but see JS in every other thing there.

This pic shows one of the significant events in JS (cant seem to rotate the pic). Can u guess what?

Let me give u a clue...

"Wake up! Wake up! Prepare ye the way of the Lord! Amen! Halelujah!"

Yeah, it's non other than Erreekka and Gerviene! Doing their early morning wake up call in Kuantan. You figure which is monkey is which..

Birthdays = Just another day

As little children, we would think birthdays are extra special days. We have this certain illusion of what birthdays are. Sometimes, we expect to be treated extra nicely. Sometimes, even like the (for girls) little princess of the day. Presents come rolling in, birthday wishes from friends, and if we're lucky, a birthday party with the usual games, food, and cake. We think things will go our way. We will be happy on our birthday. Everyone will be so excited it's your birthday! With nice events such as these, it's no surprise we looked forward to birthdays. Who wouldn't?

But the bare truth is. Anyone's birthday, is just another day. We remember birthdays cos it's the day we remember the coming of someone into this world. And we celebrate them cos we're celebrating the person's life. Well, that's how it's suppose to be. Nowadays when ppl celebrate birthdays at parties, ppl just go for the fun of it and the only thing in the party that reminds ppl that it's someone's birthday is the cake, gifts and perhaps the decor.

For me, the excitement of looking forward to my birthday has gone. The charm of it just disappeared as i grew older. The illusion chased away by cold hard facts of life. Dreaded piano classes did not go away just because it was my birthday. Neither did diciplining from my mother with the cane, or the monthly chemistry test, or having to wake early to go to school, or having to study n do homework. Life just goes on as usual whether or not it's my birthday.

My roommate, Li Vien

In memory of Gerviene Choo Li Vien

I am here today, to celebrate the life of a special someone. The answer to my prayers for a good trustworthy and understanding friend.

Gerviene Choo Li Vien.

My roommate in STM (Seminari Theologi Malaysia) for the first 5 weeks of JS (Jeremiah School). Let's observe a moment of silence to remember her. The impact she made in out lives, the words of encouragement that kept us going that extra mile, the way she shakes and kicks me to wake up in the morning, her generosity, her love for children, her hamsterish face and puppy dog eyes, her stirring preaching every morning in kuantan, her tears that seem to come so easily from her sincere heart that so feels for us, her crazy antics, and of course, her passionate involvement in the Cow With Guns Association (COWGA).

~silence~

The best roommate I could ever have. She was a good friend, still is, and ever will be.

(btw, she's still alive)

Imagine me without you

As long as stars shine down from heaven
And the rivers run into the sea
'Til the end of time, forever
You're the only love I'll need
In my life, you're all that matters
In my eyes, the only truth I see
When my hopes and dreams have shattered
You're the one that's there for me

When I found you I was blessed
And I will never leave youI need you

Imagine me without you
I'd be lost and so confused
I wouldn't last a day
I'd be afraid without you there to see me through
Imagine me without you
Lord, you know it's just impossible
Because of you
It's all brand new
My life is now worth while
I can't imagine me without you

When you caught me I was falling
Your love lifted me back on my feet
It was like you heard my calling
And you rushed to set me free

Back!

Just got back form YLDP last Saturday! I miss YLDP!!!

So fun! I wish i was feeling better though. Was in such a lazy mood most of the time there *sigh*. I guess that's wat happens when ur sleeping clock is haywire. I had lethargy running through my veins since 'after SPM'. Was so bz that i never got the much needed sleep n rest.

Advice: Dont let ur sleeping become like mine (4am-7am continued by 4pm-8pm during SPM). It really spoils the 'after SPM' celebration.

There was an up side to it though. Without all the crazy screaming and running, i didnt lose my voice during camp, i didnt fall even once, and no injuries for once! Amazing! For an accident prone person like me.

The lethargy is slowly running out and sleeping clock is going back to normal. Not yawning so much in the evening anymore and can sleep at 1-2am aedi. Trying to bring it back up to 12am. Hopefully, i'll b back to the energiser bunny mode by SSS Camp. Heheheh...

Is late, Mum complaining.. will crap here again another time.

Audrey OUT!

Plans

School friends, SSS friends, church friends, YLDP friends, old friends, and whoever else i know who's trying to reach me, after SPM time i planned with most of u all to meet up with. Brain teaser test

I just took The Brainteaser Test

The Brainteaser Test = http://web.tickle.com/invite?test=3042&type=t

Pretty interesting results i got. The results:

Audrey, you answered 23 out of 30 questions correctly!

Congratulations! Your score is in the 91st percentile. This means that if one hundred people took the test with you, your score would rank higher than 90 of them on average.

When we analyzed your test, we also discovered that when it comes to quantitative ability, you measure in the 91st percentile. This score indicates you have unusually strong abilities when it comes to solving numerical problems. If there is a numerical pattern to be found, you'll find it. You've got a knack for noticing when something "isn't right." Whether you're conscious of it or not, you have an ability to simply understand when something doesn't add up. Also, when it comes to splitting the check, doing taxes, or determining the number of fans in a baseball stadium, you're the one people turn to.

The End.

Right, i have a knack for numerical pattern? But i hate math and science! OK, not modern math since i do well for that. But i hate add math! i hate all the math stuff in Bio, Kimia, and Fiz. Accounts is another one i cant stand.

Tests like this just gives weird results.
